VALE OF BELVOIR GROUP WALKS PROGRAMME Click onlink above Come along and meet the Vale of Belvoir Ramblers Group. Our programme offers weekly Sunday walks from January to June and September to December. During July and August, we organise some Wednesday evening strolls and hold our annual barbecue. We cater for all ages and abilities, from gentle strolls to longer walks to help ease your way back to fitness to longer walks for the more intrepid rambler. Families are very welcome, but don't worry if you are a lone walker as we are a small friendly group and endeavour to seek out and introduce ourselves to new members. By supporting the Vale of Belvoir Group you will also be helping to protect the vale's beautiful. The Ramblers' Association takes a keen interest in environmental issues and has an important role to play in helping to access and maintain footpaths and public rights of way. There is an opportunity, for those who are interested, to become involved with surveying the condition of the footpaths in the Vale of Belvoir for the Area's database. The Medical Profession support walking as one of the safest ways of gaining and maintaining fitness. It is gentle on your joints and a stress free way of making new friends. Many of our walks are in and around the Vale of Belvoir, which is ideally situated for walking in Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. We also travel further afield to Derbyshire and the Peak District. Transport can be arranged. We also organise one or two coach trips to other walking areas each year. If you would like further details, please contact the Group Secretary on 01949 876146.
